Terms and Conditions

  • All Driving Lesson bookings are subject to availability. 

  • Payment for each lesson of instruction should be made atleast 48 hours prior to the Driving Lesson. 

  • To drive the tuition vehicle, the Pupil certifies that a valid Driving License is held. Your Instructor should immediately be informed by the Pupil if they recieve any points or endorsements on their Driving License during the period they are recieving tuition. 

  • The pupil must be able to pass the DVSA eyesight check prior to driving. Your Instructor reserves the right to cancel the lesson if you fail this test. 

  • To cancel a Driving Lesson, a minimum of 48 hours' notice is required to be given to the Instructor by the Pupil. The Pupil is liable to pay the full Driving Lesson fee if they fail to provide sufficient notice. 

  • The Pupil is expected to be punctual for their lesson. Lateness may result in a reduced lesson time without any discount or extension. If the instructor is running late, the lesson duration will be extended accordingly or an alternative arrangement will be made.

  • If the Instructor has reason to believe the Pupil is in any way under the influence of drink or drugs at the time of the Driving Lesson, they are at liberty to refuse to proceed with the lesson. 

  • Six Driving School reserve the right to change the hourly rate at any time for new bookings. Reasonable notification to the Pupil will be provided. 

  • Payment for a Practical Driving Test is paid directly to the DVSA. The use of your Instructor's tuition vehicle is not included in this cost. Therefore, a payment must directly be made to your Instructor for use of the tuition vehicle and time spent travelling. 

  • Driving tests should be arranged with the prior agreement of both the Pupil and Instructor. 

  • The Instructor reserves the right to refuse use of their tuition vehicle for a Driving Test. 

  • Your Instructor reserves the right to reschedule lessons at short notice in the event of mechanical breakdown or other difficulties outside the control of the Instructor. 

  • Lesson duration is pre-agreed between Pupil and Instructor. If for any reason, outside the Instructor's control, it is not possible to deliver the full lesson duration, any remaining time will be added to a later Driving Lesson. 

  • LEGAL LIABILITY. The Instructors primary objective is to promote road safety and awareness. In safety critial incidents the Instructor may need to take control of the vehicle. The highest standard of instruction will be provided to the Pupil by the Instructor, but can in no way be held liable for any errors the Pupil may make when driving and not accompanied by the Instructor, either before or after a Driving Test Pass. 

  • The Pupil will be provided with extensive knowledge and correct driving skills according to the recommended syllabus issued by the DVSA. 

  • The Pupil is expected to behave respectfully and courteously towards the Instructor and other road users during lessons. Abusive or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated and may result in the termination of lessons without a refund.

  • Complaints are to be made and dealt with in accordance with the ADI Code of Practise. 

  • The Instructor will accept no liability for damage, injury or accidents to any Third Party which is caused by the Pupil's recklessness or negligence during a lesson. 

  • The Instructor may take photographs or videos of the Pupil after their Driving Test and request a positive review if the Pupil agrees. 

  • Nothing in these Terms and Conditions will affect any statutory rights you may have as a consumer. 

  • These Terms and Conditions may be updated or amended at the discretion of Six Driving School at any time without prior notice. Students will be notified of any changes.
